We take garden to table seriously - from our rooftop beehives, with 60,000 wonderful bees producing honey used throughout our hand-crafted dishes, to our passion for serving quality produce from within our region and nationally. Some of our produce and suppliers include Amuri Truffiere, North Canterbury, Meyer Vintage Gouda from Hamilton, Ora King Salmon from Nelson, Te Mana Lamb from Canterbury, Akarua Wines in Cromwell, to name just a few of the hundreds of local providers we source and proudly work with. We are unique in our city, offering Argentinian fare with distinct and authentic flavours.

"Walking into The Polo Bar feels like stepping into polo clubrooms or a Ralph Lauren photo shoot. The bar, located downstairs in plush Hotel Montreal, has a table laden with trophies, and a collection of mallets. Polo ponies feature heavily on the walls, and the staff uniforms are distinctively polo preppy, with Hotel Montreal silk neckties, capri pants, and jumpers casually draped. The Polo Bar takes its name seriously.
The feel is casual and effortless elegance as if you're lazing on a hacienda. Perch on an over-sized and vivid blue leather couch in front of the indoor fire, or head outdoors to the leafy garden bar. Relax on the grass, or if you're feeling active, play games on the manicured croquet lawn. There's an outdoor fire, a pizza oven, and sometimes even a barbecue roasting chicken. Craft breweries that feature on the drinks menu include Panhead Brewery and Moa.
The Polo Bar's culinary team is impressive. Chef Jay Refugia has created a menu inspired by Argentinian cuisine. The menu is full of delicious morsels for sharing, and everything is beautifully presented on wooden boards. Enjoy meats (smoked or grilled), tapas, or picada (antipasto)."
